Hamster Time!

I forgot to write about our new hamster, Sebastian.

He’s what’s known as a Roborovski, which is considered the smallest and quickest of all pet hamsters and they aren’t kidding. The more I try to pet him the more his speed improves. I would describe it more as “darting” than running. Seriously, I don’t know how he does it, but he becomes airborne when I try to scoop him into my hands; disappearing from one spot and appearing in another right before your eyes.

He loves dried oatmeal, snap peas, carrots, and broccoli.

My sister wants to see him on his wheel, so I’m going to make a little video of him running in it. He only runs at night, so I’m not sure how this will be possible. I guess I’ll just sneak in around midnight, flick on some lights and start shooting until he jumps off and hides.
