Kipper, Kipper looking oh so chipper!

Saturday was my first (adult) cat session and it went pretty well considering. (see below) Kipper is so amazingly beautiful I would have had to leave my lens cap on to not get a great photo.

Well…almost:) I actually made these photos using my brand-new-out-of-the-box lens which may not have been the best decision in the world. I thought, “Hey — I know how to take photos…I’ll just pop it on my camera and go.”

Wrong, wrong, wrong. Since it’s a different brand than my previous lens, the zoom ring twists in the opposite direction and I kept zooming the wrong way resulting in some missed shots. The image stabilization feature is cool, but apparently not helpful at every shutter speed. Live and learn:)
