Wedding Jitters
Saturday was my first afternoon wedding and I was a little nervous since:
A) I hadn’t photographed a wedding with Sarah for over a month and B) Our neighbors decided it was fine to have a little get together in the courtyard until 6:00 am (even after we asked them to please quiet down around 2:00 am.)
But as usual, we arrived at the church, the adrenalin kicked in and there was no time to think. My first order of business was to feed the parking meter and try to grab a shot of the groom sipping a mimosa while chatting with his mother in the parking lot.
Check.
The next was to get a shot of him getting his boutonniere pinned on.
Check.
Next, it was up to the balcony to take close-ups of the bride and groom during the ceremony. The rest of the day was hectic and fun as usual and Sarah and I both went home with gorgeous center pieces jammed-packed with velvety-red roses. (Despite the awesome center pieces, we were still bummed they broke down the chocolate bar before we had a chance to fill our pockets.)
